SAT Consulting Engineers was launched in 1998, when a group of professionals in Economics, Social and Technical Sciences joined forces.
The actual, up close involvement of this group in different levels of small and major projects had provided the members with an understanding of the consequences of overlooking the pre-investment studies, especially in the socio-economic fields. On the other hand, the members noticed the considerable gap between the principles, frameworks and methodologies of socio-economic studies in other countries and the local consultancy services in the similar fields. The observation of the existing shortcomings and the unrelenting determination of the founders to reduce this gap led them to the establishment of SAT Consulting.
Veteran group member Parviz Zahedi brought the members together and shaped up and led the company towards many valuable achievements in the fields of socio-economic studies and consulting services. His untiring efforts and distinct role in the emergence of SAT Consulting will never be forgotten.
As implied by the name of the group, the key objective behind the conception of SAT Consulting was to establish a base for conducting specialized economic feasibility studies for the implementation of different projects.

To the early 1990s, the economic consequences of most of the local projects were not given sufficient attention. These projects were carried out on the basis of technical estimations and plans and with no economic studies and financial strategy in the background. Obviously, any project requires economic feasibility study as well as technical justification.
It can be said that in the absence of such a service provider, and in response to the high market demand for project feasibility and prefeasibility studies, the founders of SAT Consulting decided to mobilize an expert team to provide the clients with centralized, expert services. The idea seemed not only appealing but easily conceivable, as each of the founders had years of hands-on experience in the large organizations, and was very familiar with the subject.

In ten years since the business start-off, SAT Consulting has not only secured a prominent position in the industry for providing feasibility and economic-studies consulting services, but also is now recognized as a reputable company in this field of services and a model of constant progress and cutting edge knowledge and know-how.
