Useful Tips
The most common and effective way to present your professional skills and personal qualifications is to prepare a resume. Although you can fill in the SAT Application Form online to provide the HR department with some basic information, you also have the option to offer more details by preparing and submitting your introduction file or resume in any format that you prefer.
Regardless of your choice of writing style and arrangement format, a resume should generally include the following categories:
- Personal Information
In this section, you should state your place and date of birth, contact address(es), telephone number, email address, military service status, etc. Including a picture of you can also be helpful.
- Position of Interest
If you are applying for a specific position, make a clear reference.
- Education
Here, you need to provide a detailed report of your high school and university education. Acceptance and graduation dates, institution attended, major/minor subjects, degree earned, city of education, and precise information about your performance level are among the required information. Further numeral information such as you GPA or University Exam Acceptance Rank can also be helpful. If you have had intermittent education (Associate’s Degree to Bachelor’s to Master’s), you should provide details of each separately. If providing the titles of the selected courses can help present your knowledgebase, include them in this section.
- Work Experience
List all the jobs you have had to the date, starting with the most recent. Titles of positions, names of organizations, dates of employments, and reasons for job terminations are among the information you can provide here.
Unofficial work experiences such as responsibilities during university education, teaching and so on can be included in this section.
- Extracurricular Education
If you have attended or completed any specialized or scientific courses other than your university education (including Psychology, Arts, and any special job preparation course), provide information on the subject, date and course organizer. Your learnings from such courses could be needed at the place you are applying to work.
- Scientific Achievements
If you have done research projects or published books or articles, or accomplished any such work of scientific value, make a reference including the topic, and date and place of publication.
- Computer Skills
Describe your knowledge of general computer applications and any special software program. Even if it seems to be of no relevance to the position you are applying for, it is necessary to list it as a part of your individual skills.
- Foreign Languages
Knowledge of any foreign language should be mentioned in your resume. If you have an adequate or good command of any language other than Persian, indicate your proficiency levels in reading, writing, speaking and comprehension. If you have attended courses or received certificates from language institutes, provide related information.
- Interests and Abilities
A reference to your personal interests and abilities can provide a better view to your individual character.
